BURBANK - If you get called for jury duty before Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael D. Carter, odds are you'll want to fulfill your summons and toss aside excuses to escape serving.
Carter, who hears criminal trials in Burbank, is intent on making sure jurors enjoy their experience in his courtroom - down to personally furnishing the deliberation room with a coffee pot and refrigerator.
