LOS ANGELES - Between prosecuting drug crimes for the U.S. attorney's so-called "dope unit" and litigating as a partner at Jones Day and Irell & Manella LLP, Superior Court Judge Christine Byrd has plenty of "war stories" from her 35 years in court.
