BAKERSFIELD - The rumors started when Judge David R. Lampe moved from a misdemeanor calendar to an unlimited civil department a couple of years ago.
"We heard he was a tort reformer," attorney Thomas A. Brill said.
Prior to Lampe's 2007 appointment to the bench, his civil trial practice focused on tort defense and commercial litigation.
