MONTEREY PARK - Ask the attorneys who work regularly with Judge David R. Fields about his courtroom practices, and they'll eventually mention his binder.
A thick, three-ring notebook, it's full of handwritten notes for each of the juvenile dependency cases he's heard since taking the bench at Los Angeles County's Edelman Children's Court last year.
