SAN DIEGO - Tears streamed down the 13-year-old boy's cheeks as he came before Judge Dwayne K. Moring for sentencing.

It was the tagger's first offense, but he had done a lot of damage - $16,000 worth of graffiti cleanup, said his attorney, Deputy Public Defender Ameca E. Park.

"The kid was choking and crying," Park said.
