  EL CENTRO - During 26 years of practice, L. Brooks Anderholt found it aggravating
  to appear before a judge who hadn't prepared, especially if he lost. Now, as a judge
  on the Imperial County Superior Court, he'll use his lunch hour or evenings to read
  cases and papers, winning high praise from attorneys, even those who have lost.
