EL CAJON - Sharon Majors-Lewis has spent her life beating the odds and as a child even cheating death.
"I had a rare form of meningitis when I was very young and almost died from it," said Majors-Lewis, a former judicial appointments secretary now presiding in San Diego County Superior Court in El Cajon.
