INDIO - Before beginning the court's business each morning, Judge John G. Evans reads aloud a quote on civility or a nugget of wisdom he believes lawyers should live by. He reads the sayings, usually culled from books or newspaper articles he's read, to remind lawyers of their duty to conduct themselves ethically and professionally, the Riverside County Superior Court judge said.
