LOS ANGELES — Superior Court Judge Ray Jurado believes the public wants to see seriousness in a judge and he doesn't appreciate overly emotional arguments in his Los Angeles County criminal courtroom.
"It's a pretty serious environment," Jurado said. "In general, the demeanor the public wants is a judge who's serious and applies the law equally."
