LOS ANGELES -- William F. Highberger is a trial court judge who sometimes runs his courtroom like a higher court.

"It's very much like a Supreme Court oral argument," plaintiffs' lawyer Eric Kingsley, of Kingsley & Kingsley, said about arguing a motion matter before the judge. "He is frequently interrupting you. He might do that several times."
