NAPA — Sometimes during court, instead of sitting, Judge Mark Boessenecker stands on the steps leading to his bench.
A Napa County Superior Court judge, Boessenecker said that during trials, he encourages jurors to get up and lean against the railing in the courtroom, creating an unorthodox feel in what is normally a carefully choreographed proceeding.
