
POMONA — Self-represented litigants are allowed to read out texts or describe photos on a cellphone in Judge Sarah Heidel’s family law courtroom, but she’s quick to remind them that evidence is inadmissible.
“I’ll say, ‘I can’t take your phone and keep it in evidence,’” Heidel explained. “‘You don’t want me to keep your phone.’”
