LOS ANGELES — With 525 matters on her unlimited independent calendar and 50 new cases each month, Superior Court Judge Barbara M. Scheper doesn’t have time for attorneys who don’t follow the rules.

“I try to impress upon them that they should follow the rules of court, and a lot of those set up timelines so that things keep moving,” she said in her chambers at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.
