VICTORVILLE — Here’s a quick bit of trivia about San Bernardino County: It’s the largest in the nation by area. In fact, Superior Court Judge Miriam Morton occasionally sees defendants who were arrested nearly 200 miles away.

“Any felony that’s filed in our area of San Bernardino County all the way out to the state line in Arizona, through the high desert area, comes here,” Morton said.
