HEMET — Commissioner Samra Furbush said she used to be a rebel, but she wasn’t the type to habitually disobey her parents — just their hope she wouldn’t go to law school.
“My parents are lawyers. They felt like the family needs a plumber, a mechanic and orthodontist,” she said. “They weren’t discouraging, but I don’t think they were hoping I would become a lawyer.”
