OAKLAND — Judge Jason Chin won’t blame folks for not connecting the dots and realizing he’s the son of California Supreme Court Justice Ming Chin.

“It’s not something I really advertise,” the younger Chin said.

But his father did administer the oath when he joined the Alameda County Superior Court last year and also spoke at his law school commencement ceremony.
