MURRIETA — While some occupy their retirement with golf and leisurely globetrotting, John M. Davis became a judge.

Roughly over a year into his departure from 25 years at the district attorney’s office, he was tapped for the bench.

Fast forward another decade, he’s gearing up for another big change in 2021: presiding over family law matters on the Riverside County Superior Court.
