CHATSWORTH — Along with her legal training and years in family law, there’s another life lesson Judge Michelle S. Short has learned.

“Not everything in this life has to happen today,” she said.

It’s a notion she bears in mind in her current traffic court assignment at the Chatsworth Courthouse when defendants ask for the price tag of their traffic tickets to be reduced.
