“Timing is everything,” Lauren Teukolsky said, sitting in her third-floor conference room in Pasadena.

She recalled one of her first cases after starting Teukolsky Law APC in June 2017. Her client, a former dishwasher named Sandra Pezqueda, sued the Palos Verdes luxury resort Terrenea and the staffing company that hired her, claiming she was fired after reporting her supervisor for sexual harassment.
