Facts

Equustria Development Inc. filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 12, 2012. Equustria's main business was operating an equine review called "Valitar," but the review closed after only four performances. Prior to filing for bankruptcy, Equustria did not pay its employees a final paycheck.

Gregory Akers, the Chapter 7 trustee, moved for the authority to pay pre-petition employee wage claims to those employees.

Result

The court agreed and Equustria was authorized to pay $213,693 in employee wage claims.
