Lorraine Puno was driving in traffic on State Route 78 in Nordahl on Sept. 4, 2007 when she was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Jillian Hughes.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Puno filed suit against Hughes, alleging motor vehicle negligence. Puno contended that Hughes failed to pay attention to stopped traffic, causing the accident.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Hughes admitted liability, but disputed Puno's injury claims. She alleged that the collision was very minimal impact, and not a cause of injury to Puno's wrist.
Damages
Puno sought damages of $23,000 in past medical expenses, $9,000 in past lost earnings, and $120,000 for pain and suffering.
