Facts
Plaintiff Candace Anderson was the mother of plaintiff S.A. and other minor children. Defendant county of Riverside assigned defendant A Coming of Age Foster Family and its employee, defendant David Salomon to supervise the visits between plaintiff and her children. Plaintiff sued defendants for sexual assault, negligent hiring and supervision, and vicarious liability.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended defendant Salomon introduced himself to her at the Riverside County Juvenile Court and later assaulted her in her home by groping and kissing her while discussing her children. He also showed up at her home frequently, without notice.
Injuries
Plaintiff suffered sexual assault and emotional distress.
Result
The parties settled for $50,000. Plaintiff S.A. settled for $2,000. Plaintiff Candance Anderson settled for $48,000 against defendants A Coming of Age and Anderson Saloman. County of Riverside denied that Salomon was its employee and settled for a waiver of costs.
