Facts

Attorney Jon King has worked for Hausfeld LLP since 2008. King sued attorney Michael Hausfeld and the law firm for wrongful termination after he was fired.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended he was fired after speaking out about the firm's unethical practices. King claimed that the firm ignored conflicts of interest in several cases, condoned surveillance of another firm, and unlawfully solicited clients. King also claimed that Hausfeld crafted a scheme requiring other firms to pay litigation costs while concealing its failure to pay into the litigation fund.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Hausfeld LLP and Mr. Hausfeld denied all of King's allegations and stated that King was fired for cause.

Result

The defendants' motion to dismiss was granted, and the case was dismissed with prejudice.
