Facts

A man who was filmed heckling Bristol Palin in a Hollywood bar filed suit when the footage was included in Palin's reality television program, claiming that his privacy was invaded by the disclosure that he is gay. He also asserted claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress and misappropriation.

Result

The court granted AETN's SLAPP motion under Cal. Civ. Code Section 425.16, and dismissed the case. The court also awarded AETN its attorneys' fees of $65,773 and $1,365 in costs.
