On June 21, 2005, at 2:15 p.m., plaintiff Claudia Gonzalez was shopping at Buy-Low Market Inc. in El Monte. Gonzalez slipped and fell on the wet floor and landed on her left knee.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff claimed that defendant did not provide a safe, suitable and adequate premises, which constituted a dangerous condition.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendant countered that it had conducted a sweep or inspection of its floor at 2 p.m.

Injuries

The plaintiff suffered injury to her knee, heel and ankle. Due to these injuries, plaintiff is afflicted with pain and contusion.

After a jury trial, verdict was returned in favor of the defendant.
