Facts

Plaintiff Los Angeles Unified School District attempted to obtain a piece of property in the city of Southgate to build at the South Region New Elementary School Site No. 4 and Early Education Center No. 2. Defendants Rafael Cardenaz and Margarita Cardenaz owned the parcel of land. Defendant Reconstruct Company N.A. was the trustee pursuant to a deed of trust that encumbered the property. Defendant Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. (MERS) was the beneficiary pursuant to a deed of trust that encumbered the land. Defendant Countrywide Home Loans was the lender pursuant to the deed of trust.

Result

A settlement was reached amounting to $435,000.
