Defendants Rafael Cardenaz and Margarita Cardenaz owned the parcel of land. Defendant Reconstruct Company N.A. was the trustee pursuant to a deed of trust that encumbered the property. Defendant Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. (MERS) was the beneficiary pursuant to a deed of trust that encumbered the land. Defendant Countrywide Home Loans was the lender pursuant to the deed of trust.
