Facts
Genlabs Corporation is a contract packager that was hired by Simplicity International to mix and fill Simplicity's laundry and dish soap products. A dispute arose with respect to some of the packaging. Simplicity filed an action against Genlabs and Genlabs counterclaimed for unpaid invoices.
The court dismissed Simplicity's claims after extensive pretrial proceedings. The case then went to the jury on Genlabs' counterclaims.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Simplicity contended that it did not have to pay the invoices because of packaging issues.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Genlabs contended that it was not responsible for the packaging issues.
Result
Verdict in favor of Genlabs on its counterclaim.
Other Information
Simplicity's motion for a new trial was denied on Sept. 9, 2010. After the trial, the court issued an order regarding reconsideration of its ruling dismissing Simplicity's claims.
