Plaintiff Yvonne Serna, a 41-year-old electrician, was stopped at an intersection in front of Camarillo High School. She was driving a 2001 Ford Expedition. Defendant Aaron Westmoreland rear-ended the plaintiff with his Toyota Celica. The defendant contended that the collision was equivalent to being bumped in a bumper car and contended that the plaintiff could not have been injured.
