Pizza Bytes was the franchisee for Round Table and Foster Farms provided the chicken strips to the restaurant.
Injuries
The chicken bone lodged in her throat, perforating her esophagus and causing an injury which later became infected. Felicity required 14 surgeries and spent months using feeding tubes and consuming a liquid diet.
Result
The jury found Foster Farms and Pizza Bytes negligent, and awarded Felicity $2 million in damages for pain and suffering and nearly half a million for medical expenses.
