Facts

Interpols Network Inc. filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Aura Interactive Inc.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Interpols had two patents that covered systems and methods for providing syndication content to an Internet browser. Both patents were entitled "Systems and Methods for Integrated XML Syndication Feeds Into Online Advertisements."

Interpols argued that Aura's MovieConnect software infringed on these patents. MovieConnect came in two forms, and both displayed theater and showtime information that was taken from a database. Interpols claimed that Aura used information in its patents to facilitate its systems.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Aura moved for partial summary judgment, arguing that it had not infringed the patents.

Result

The court granted Aura's motion for partial summary judgment, finding that its MovieConnect software did not infringe.
