Facts

Several plaintiffs, who paid so-called Final Value Fees for the sale of an item within the category of "Parts & Accessories" on the eBay Motors website, filed a class action suit against eBay Inc. The class period was for listings placed on the website from April 21, 2005 to Aug. 26, 2009.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs alleged that defendant charged the wrong amount of final value fees for sales of Parts and Accessories.

Result

The parties reached a settlement, whereby a settlement fund of $30 million will be created to reimburse fees paid, expenses for administering the settlement, and attorney fees.
