Built in approximately 2002, five homes in Yorba Linda were said to have begun experiencing construction defects throughout the homes at the strict liability of the builders.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs claimed that the builders were strictly liable for the construction defects due to their negligence in the construction process.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants claimed that individual subcontractors were responsible for their specific scopes of work and thus responsible for the defects specified by the plaintiffs.

Damages

Plaintiff claimed window leaks, water intrusion through brick veneer, roof leaks, stucco cracks, difficult operation of windows, and plumbing leaks.

Result

Settlement for $85,500.
