PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff accused defendant of failing to pay him and all others similarly situated with all wages due. Plaintiff asserted claims for violation of the living wage ordinance under the L.A. Administrative Code, failure to pay minimum wage under Labor Code Section 1194, failure to furnish accurate wage and hour statements under Section 226, waiting time penalties under Sections 201-203, conversion under Sections 3336 and 3294, and unfair competition under the Labor Code.
Result
The parties reached a $385,000 in total settlement. Class representatives, Leos and Keith Porter, were to receive $3,750 in incentive awards.
