On Feb. 29, 2008, plaintiff Sylvine Jerome sued defendants U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. National Park Service, and Golden Gate Recreational Area for negligence arising from her collision with Kevin Day on August 31, 2005.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff contended Day was driving a Presidio Fire Department truck when he collided with plaintiff, who was riding her bicycle in the Golden Gate Recreational Area. Plaintiff claimed Day's negligence caused the accident resulting in her injuries.

Injuries

Plaintiff suffered multiple injuries, including facial lacerations; dental injuries; and wrist injuries.

Result

The parties settled for $43,500.
