Facts

In July 1985, the U.S. Postal Service employed Glynis Hughes as a clerk. On May 18, 2005, Hughes reported to management that she witnessed sexual misconduct at work, which involved a senior management employee. Later, Hughes' employer transferred her to a less desirable position in another location. As a result, Hughes sued postmaster general John Potter.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Hughes alleged that her employer transferred in retaliation for informing management about sexual misconduct.

Result

The parties reached a settlement amounting to $10,000.
