Facts

On April 13, 2007, plaintiff George Williams, 35, was riding his Honda Nighthawk motorcycle to get a haircut. He was on Murrieta Hot Springs Road in Murrieta. The defendant's employee was driving a company truck south on Via Princessa. After stopping for a red light, the defendant driver made a right turn directly in front of plaintiff. The plaintiff and his motorcycle collided with the left rear of the plumber's truck. Witnesses had plaintiff traveling within the speed limit and entering the intersection on a green light.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff contended that the defendant failed to yield to oncoming traffic while making a right turn on a red light.

Settlement Discussions

The demand started at $1 million. The offer started at $220,000.
