PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff contended defendants wrongfully used its patent relating to computerized data management systems that dispatched helicopters and other rescue vehicles to accident scenes, charted the clinical encounter with the patient, including diagnosis, and billed for the services rendered.

Damages

The plaintiff sought treble damages, permanent injunction and attorney fees.

Result

The jury returned a $3.5 million verdict in plaintiff's favor, finding defendant emsCharts willfully infringed plaintiff's patent.
