Facts

Plaintiff Debbie Gabriel was an employee of the US Department of Agriculture who requested a transfer but was denied. Gabriel filed suit against defendant Mike Johanns, Secretary of the US Department of Agriculture on Feb. 14, 2007.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Gabriel contended that she was discriminated against and harassed due to her gender. Gabriel claimed that when she requested to be transferred from the hostile workplace, she was ordered to return to the same hostile workplace where harassment and gender discrimination continued to occur.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendant denied all allegations.

Result

Gabriel accepted a settlement of $26,250.
