Facts
On Sept. 7, 2004, at 4 p.m., plaintiff Loren Ashley Devons, 33, was traveling northbound on Euclid Street in Fullerton. Defendant Malti Pandhi was traveling southbound on Euclid, she attempted to make a left turn at Commonwealth Avenue and collided with Devons' vehicle. Both vehicles were deemed a total loss.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Devons contended that Pandhi failed to yield the right of way while she was making her turn, which caused the collision.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Pandhi contended that it was Devons who was required to yield and caused the collision.
Damages
Devons claimed damages in the amount of $10,956 for medical expenses, $611 for lost wages, and $1,236 for miscellaneous damages.
Injuries
Devons suffered injuries to her cervical disc, lumbar, soft tissue, neck, and experienced headaches.
Result
The jury found for Pandhi.
