Facts

William Brown filed a complaint against Arrowhead Financial Group Inc. dba Arrowhead Investment Center LLC claiming racial discrimination and inequitable conduct in connection with Brown's employment with Arrowhead. He asserted causes of action for libel and slander; violations of California Labor Code Section 201; violations of California Business and Professions Code Section 17200; and unfair business practices. Arrowhead sought dismissal of Brown's claims.

Damages

Brown sought damages in excess of $512,000; treble damages; punitive damages; pre-judgment interest; costs; fees; and other relief.

Result

The arbitration panel granted Arrowhead's motion to dismiss. All damages sought by Brown were denied.
