Facts
On Nov. 30, 2008, Marilyn Dach and Eric Bridges were involved in a vehicular accident. The parties pulled over to talk, and when Dach opened her door to get out of her car, two dogs jumped out and bit Bridges. Bridges filed suit against Dach, as well as Nicholas Dach, who also owned the dogs.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff claimed that defendants negligently controlled the dogs, and that Marilyn Dach did not timely stop the attack. Plaintiff alleged a cause of action for strict liability.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant Marilyn Dach claimed that the attack did not last several minutes.
Settlement Discussions
Plaintiff demanded $75,000 and defendants offered $15,000.
