The plaintiffs were Naising Saelee, a 25-year-old electronics assembler, Lo Foy Saeteurn, a 28-year-old
electronics assembler and Yiam Saelee, a 50-year-old homemaker.
The defendant contended that he was driving a rental car from the airport in heavy downtown Seattle traffic,
when he was rear-ended by the plaintiffsÆ vehicle who stopped for a pedestrian. The defendantÆs speed
estimated to be 3-5 mph while the plaintiffsÆ speed was estimated to be 25-30 mph. No report of injury was
made at the scene of the accident and no police was called.
