Facts

The defendant contended that he was stopped for a stop sign in the parking lot, looked both ways
and started to pull out when he noticed the plaintiffÆs vehicle racing down in front of the J.C.
Penney annex building, turning around the end of the parking area towards the defendantÆs
vehicle. The defendant further contended he applied his brakes and came to a full stop, when
the rear left fender of the plaintiffÆs vehicle scrapped along the front bumper of the defendantÆs
vehicle.
