On June 19, 1997, plaintiff Maxine Ordway, an off-duty K-Mart employee, was shopping in K-Mart in Bishop. Another employee knocked a stack of plastic lawn chairs over onto plaintiff, knocking plaintiff to the ground, causing her injuries. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence.
