Three Rivers intended to use the property for flood control improvements which consisted of a setback levy on the Feather River.

The plaintiff valued the property at $725,900 and asserted that the defendant's valuation of the land relied on sales that were out of date.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendant valued the property at $1.6 million.
Result
The jury found that the property taken was worth $1,266,525.
