Facts

Gabriela Gomez filed a petition for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

Contentions

PETITIONER'S CONTENTIONS:
Gomez alleged that on Aug. 10, 2012, she received the influenza, or flu, vaccine. Gomez further alleged that as a result of the flu vaccine she had Guillain-Barre Syndrome.

RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS:
Respondent argued that the flu vaccine taken by Gomez did not cause her alleged Guillain-Barre Syndrome.

Result

The parties entered into a joint stipulation for the payment of $85,000 to Gomez in settlement of her claims. The parties' stipulation was adopted as the decision of the court.
