Thanh Robinson sued Hawaiian Gardens Card Club Inc. dba Hawaiian Gardens Casino, in connection with a slip and fall incident.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
On Nov. 17, 2014, plaintiff allegedly slipped and fell near the casino's gift shop. Plaintiff was injured as a result and sued defendant for negligence. Defendant allegedly failed to inspect the premises, creating a dangerous condition on the floor, and causing her fall. Defendant had allegedly just buffed the floor just prior to the fall, making it dangerously slippery.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant denied plaintiff's allegations. Defendant claimed it had no actual or constructive knowledge of the allegedly dangerous condition and, as such, defendant moved for summary judgment for failure to state a claim.

Result

The court granted the casino's motion for summary judgment.
