Facts

Petitioner was convicted of two counts of robbery. The jury also found true the allegation that petitioner personally used a firearm in committing each offense. He was sentenced to 17 years and 4 months. Later, he filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus in federal court.

Contentions

PETITIONER'S CONTENTIONS:
Petitioner contended that the trial court erred by allowing evidence of his two uncharged robberies and allowing a detective to testify regarding surveillance videos, and that he had ineffective assistance of trial counsel because his counsel failed to timely seek admission of evidence and for presenting multiple defenses.

RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS:
Respondent contended that petitioner failed to demonstrate he was entitled to relief on any of his claims.

Result

The court denied the petition, concluding petitioner was not entitled to relief on any ground raised in his petition.
