On Jan. 20, 2008, plaintiff Alvina Beirne was driving a 1996 Toyota Camry and was traveling eastbound on Shaw Avenue in Fresno. Defendant Allison J. Thompson was driving a 2001 Ford Mustang and was traveling southbound on Cedar Avenue. Thompson failed to stop at the red light and proceeded into the intersection striking the plaintiff's vehicle.
