Plaintiff filed a class action lawsuit against her employer for alleged wage and hour violations.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Daniel contended that For Eyes failed to provide meal and rest breaks to non-exempt employees, subjected vacation pay to unlawful forfeiture, and failed to properly calculate "regular rate" of pay. She also asserted derivative claims for failure to provide accurate wage statements, failure to pay final wages upon termination, and unfair competition.

Result

Defendant settled with the class for $225,000, 69 class members will be receiving payment.
